Last chance for bulb sales!!

Hi all,
This is a last call for bulb sale money, please hand it in to Eileen Winton's box by 8:50AM tomorrow.  Their are 4 that have been turned in and I know a few more are out there.  We need to order before the frost!!

8th Grade next meeting Nov. 7th

Just a reminder that the next meeting in scheduled for Nov. 7th, 7pm in the BCS library!
We will be discussing the year end dates and activities.

Also only half of the students turned in fun run money, please turn it in to the office their is still time for the money to count towards 8th grade funds.

After the first meeting...

Greetings parents!

We are excited to inform you of some upcoming events and projects related to your 8^th grade student at BCS.  After a brief meeting this last week we have already started the preparations for 8^th grade fund raising, graduation, and skip day!  Following is a list of positions filled, positions open, and a starting list of the fund raising projects we have coming up.

We met on August 24^th, 2011 following is a list of decisions made:

 

Positions filled:

Fund raising chair/ liaison between BCS administration & parents: Eileen Winton

Secretary/treasurer: Amy Harmon

Graduation food head: Dori Vail

Graduation print head: Debbie Sage

Weekly bake sale coordinator: Jill Gosda

Skip day heads: Debbie Sage, Regina Clemenson, & Kerry Lolkema

We will be pre-selling tickets to this event, attached is the coupon form and a flyer to advertise.  We would like it if each student if they could presale at least 5 tickets and turn the money into the 8^th grade fund raising basket in Mrs. Nickelson’s room no later than September 23^rd, 2011

 

October 1-14^th Fund raising with flower bulbs, the information will be given to you on the first Tuesday of school.  If you are not planning to enter the school please contact Amy Harmon to get the packet.  You can start selling now but be sure you return the money and order form to the 8^th grade fund raising basket in Mrs. Nickelson’s room before October 14^th, 2011

Sunset car wash tickets

Butter braids

We would love to see any new or improved ideas you have, it is best if we pull our resources’ and work together.  Many hands make for light work!  If you see something you would like to head up or help out please email the chairperson (Eileen Winton @ jeewinton@yahoo.com) and we can get things accomplished quickly and with unity!  We will be trying to communicate with you as best as we can by creating a blog with up-to-date information as well as a calendar and a place for feedback.  The blog is still in process, here is the address:   It is exciting to see what God is doing in the lives of the students.  Let’s make this year one to remember!

The Final Count Down....
What a fun way to start out the 8th grade year, new lockers, new entry way, and two new teachers!  The MS staff is piping with enthusiasm and energy ready to encourage students to higher hights and a closer walk with Jesus!
